Addiction Treatment in Braintree, MA
Rockland Recovery Treatment Center is Rockland Recovery Group’s substance use program in Braintree, a few minutes off Route 3 and I-93 at the Braintree split. It is an outpatient center with three levels of care. Partial hospitalization is five to six hours a day on weekdays and is where most people start, either directly or after a detox stay elsewhere. Intensive outpatient is about three hours a day on several days a week for six to twelve weeks, with morning and evening schedules built around work. Standard outpatient is one to three hours a week of therapy and medication management for the year or more that recovery takes to settle.
We do not run a detox or a residential program here or at any location. When someone is physically dependent on alcohol, benzodiazepines, or opioids, admissions arranges a medically supervised detox at a partner facility and plans the start at Braintree for the day of discharge. For opioids, buprenorphine (Suboxone) can be started during withdrawal so that the person arrives here already stabilized. Nobody is asked to get through withdrawal alone before they qualify for treatment.
Braintree is the substance use half of Rockland Recovery Group. Our mental health programs run in Sharon and Bedford, and the Massachusetts Center for Addiction in Quincy treats addiction and mental health conditions together. Someone whose depression, anxiety, or PTSD is driving the drinking or use is often placed in Quincy for that reason, and the first admissions call sorts that out.
Programs and Services in Braintree

- Partial Hospitalization Five to six hours a day on weekdays for two to four weeks. Groups, weekly individual therapy, psychiatric care, medication management, and a case manager for the practical side. Home or sober living at night.
- Intensive Outpatient About three hours a day, three to five days a week, for six to twelve weeks, with schedules that fit around a job. This is where most of the therapy in recovery happens and where skills get tested in real life between sessions.
- Medication-Assisted Treatment Buprenorphine (Suboxone film or tablet) and naltrexone, including monthly Vivitrol, for opioid use disorder; naltrexone and acamprosate for alcohol. Prescribed and managed here as part of treatment, not as a separate clinic.
- Alcohol Addiction The most common reason people come to Braintree. Detox coordination when needed, then treatment for the drinking and for the anxiety, sleep, and relationships underneath it.
- Family Therapy Sessions for the people who live with addiction from the other side. Agreements about money, trust, and warning signs get made here with a clinician in the room, which is where they hold.
- Sober Living MASH-certified, gender-specific houses in Quincy, Milton, Rockland, and Dorchester at $275 a week including utilities, laundry, parking, wifi, and cable. Typically for people enrolled in one of our programs.

No. We do not provide medical detox or residential treatment at Braintree or any other location. When detox is needed, admissions arranges it at a partner facility and schedules your start with us for the day you are discharged, so there is a plan in place before withdrawal begins. Buprenorphine for opioids is usually started during detox so you arrive stabilized.
What addictions do you treat in Braintree?

Do you prescribe Suboxone or Vivitrol at Braintree?
Yes. Buprenorphine as Suboxone film or tablet, and naltrexone as a daily tablet or as the monthly Vivitrol injection, are prescribed and managed here as part of treatment. For alcohol, naltrexone and acamprosate are available. We do not prescribe methadone.
Can I keep working while in treatment?
At the intensive outpatient and standard outpatient levels, yes; IOP runs about three hours a day with schedules built for that. Partial hospitalization is five to six hours on weekdays and most people take a few weeks of leave, which the Family and Medical Leave Act protects at employers with 50 or more staff. Admissions can help with the paperwork.
