Bedford is our northernmost center and the one that serves Middlesex County. If you are coming from Bedford, Burlington, Lexington, Concord or the towns around them, this is the closest of our locations by a wide margin.
The programs here are structured day treatment. You attend during the day and go home in the evening. Nobody stays overnight at this location.
Care at Bedford is mental health. This center does not provide medical detox or primary substance use treatment. If that is what you need, our Braintree and Quincy centers do, and admissions will tell you so on the call rather than booking you in here.

What a day here looks like
A treatment day is built from group sessions, individual therapy, skills work and psychiatric review. How much of each depends on the level of care and on what the assessment found.
The clinical work draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and trauma informed approaches. Psychiatric evaluation and medication management are available where they are clinically appropriate, prescribed and monitored by the medical team.
Group rooms and private offices sit alongside common areas where people can take a few minutes between sessions.

No. Bedford is non residential. You attend treatment during the day and go home in the evening, which lets people stay connected to work, school and family while they are in care.
Who is Bedford not the right fit for?
Anyone who needs medical detox or primary substance use treatment. This center provides mental health care. If detox or addiction treatment is what is needed, admissions will point you to the center that does it rather than admitting you here.
Is medication management available?
Yes, where it is clinically appropriate. Psychiatric evaluation and ongoing medication management are prescribed and monitored by qualified medical staff as part of the treatment plan.
How long does treatment last?
It depends on what you are dealing with and how things progress. Some people benefit from a few weeks of structured care and others need longer. The clinical team reviews progress regularly and adjusts the level of care as it changes.
Can my family be involved?
Where it is clinically appropriate and you want it, yes. Family sessions and education can make a real difference to how well things hold together once treatment ends.
What insurance do you take?
Most major plans. We are in network with several, including Aetna, Cigna, Tricare and Optum. Admissions can verify your benefits and tell you what your own plan covers before you commit to anything.

Levels of care
Which one fits is decided at assessment. Most people move between them as things change.
- Partial hospitalization A full clinical day, five days a week, sleeping at home.
- Intensive outpatient Several sessions a week. Fits around a job for most people.
- Outpatient treatment Regular therapy and check ins. The lightest level of care we offer.
Arranged through partner facilities
We do not provide these ourselves. Where an assessment shows one is what you need, admissions arranges it with a partner facility and picks your care back up afterwards.
