Nicole Wilkinson, LADC II

Nicole Wilkinson has worked in the Greater Boston recovery community for several years. She earned her BS at Bryant and went on to UMass Boston for her certification as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Much of her work is with people in early sobriety. She draws on 12-Step work, strength-based and dialectical behavioral approaches, and motivational interviewing, choosing among them to suit the client rather than applying the same one to everybody.

She also works with families, on the view that addiction is a family and community problem and not only an individual one. Her focus with clients is long term: what recovery looks like after treatment ends, and what they want to be doing then.
