Admissions open 24 hours, every day
Addiction and Mental Health Rehab Admissions
Getting into treatment takes one phone call and, in most cases, less than a day. This page walks through what happens at each stage, what it is likely to cost you, and what we will ask for along the way.
Confidential. No cost to call, and nothing here commits you to treatment.
- Joint Commission accredited facilities
- Admissions open 24/7
- Most insurance accepted
- Confidential from the first call
What happens, start to finish
Four stages. The first three usually happen the same day, often inside a couple of hours.
-
You call, or send your details
A person answers. The opening questions are plain ones: what has been going on, how long, whether there has been treatment before, and whether anyone is in danger right now. There is no script. If you are calling about somebody else, that is a normal call for us.
-
We check your insurance while you wait
We call the carrier with your plan details and come back with the actual answer, usually inside the same conversation. You will hear which levels of care your plan covers, how much of your deductible is left, and what a stay would cost you rather than a range from a website.
-
A clinician does the assessment
About an hour, and the longest step. Substance history, medical history, medications, mental health, what home looks like. It is more than anyone wants to answer on a hard day, and it is also what the treatment plan is built from.
-
We tell you what fits, and you start
Sometimes that is detox, sometimes an outpatient program three evenings a week, and sometimes it is neither and you need something we do not run. We will say so. Where a bed is open, admission can happen the same day.
Worth having in front of you
None of it is required to call. It just makes the coverage check faster.
-
Your insurance card The member ID and group number are the two things we need. A photo of the front and back is enough.
-
A list of medications Anything prescribed, including doses if you know them. This matters most where detox is involved.
-
A rough timeline When it started, when it got worse, any previous treatment. Approximate is fine, nobody is checking dates.
-
Photo ID Needed at admission rather than on the call. A driver’s license or passport.
Check your coverage
Send your plan details and we will verify benefits with your carrier and call you back with the result. If it is quicker to do it on the phone, call instead and we will run it while you are on the line.
- We contact your carrier directly, usually within the hour during the day
- You get a call back with what is covered and what you would owe
- No obligation attached to any of it, and no cost either way
- If your plan will not cover what you need, we will say so and suggest where to look
Would you rather talk it through? Call 888-299-4833
This form asks for a date of birth and a member ID because the carrier will not verify benefits without them. It goes to the admissions team and is used to check your coverage, nothing else.
Plans we work with
These are the carriers we deal with most often in Massachusetts. Coverage depends on your specific plan rather than the logo on the card, which is why we check rather than guess.
Uninsured, or between plans? Call anyway. There are options and we would rather talk about them than have you assume there are none.
Questions people ask on the call
Anything not covered here, ask on the phone. Admissions answers around the clock and there is no cost to call.
Call 888-299-4833How quickly can I actually start?
Where detox is the right level of care and a bed is open, the same day. Outpatient programs generally start within a few days because they run to a schedule. The honest variable is bed availability, and we will tell you what it looks like when you call rather than after you have committed.
What if I do not have insurance?
Call and say so at the start. Some people qualify for MassHealth without realising it, some plans cover more than the member expects, and there are self-pay arrangements. What we will not do is quote you a number before we understand what you need.
Will my employer find out?
Not from us. Treatment records are protected health information and we do not contact an employer without written authorization from you. If you need time off covered, FMLA paperwork is something the clinical team can help with, and that is your decision to start.
I am calling about my son. What can you tell me?
We can explain how the process works, what the levels of care are, and what his plan is likely to cover, all without him being on the call. What we cannot do is confirm whether he is a patient or share anything about his treatment, and that stays true after he is admitted. Most families call before the person does.
What should I bring?
Seven days of clothing, any prescribed medication in its original packaging, your ID and insurance card. Leave anything with alcohol in the ingredients, anything sharp, and anything you would be upset to lose. You will get a specific list before you arrive.
Can I keep my phone?
In outpatient programs, yes, outside of group. In residential it depends on the stage you are at and the program you are in. There is always a way to reach family, and we will tell you exactly what the rule is before you agree to anything.
Admissions is open right now
Day or night, weekends included. You will speak to a person, not a queue, and you can ask anything on this page without giving your name first.
